Industrial Engineer specialized in Energy and Organization. Executive MBA, Master in Energy Business, Master in financing of Renewable Energies and Master on International Trade.
He has developed his career in the field of research, development and innovation, working initially at Gas Natural SDG, ACS group (Dragados-Urbaner) and later in different undertakings where he eventually assumed the responsibility of General Management; BESEL, BESEL Balkans, ENERMAN and Qi EUROPE, addressing technical developments on emerging technologies and financing services from public EU grants and loans as well as private venture.
Juan was secretary or member of the Board in several national associations for new technologies like AEDIE (Engineering companies), APPICE (Hydrogen and Fuel Cells), Red SIDEM (R&D Consortium), AEH (Hydrogen), ENEBC (Heat Pumps). He was the Spanish Focal Point for the SME instrument at early stages (VI EU Framework programme). He is certified under the auspices of Madrid city as a Business Advisor and has worked as a Business Coach for the European Union and as an International Energy Agency advisor (Heat Pumps). He has participated personally in more than 150 National and European projects in different activities from preparation and administration to coordination or technical tasks.

He holds a MSc degree in Industrial Engineering specialized in automation and robotics and a BSc in Industrial Electronics. He has worked for more than 10 years in research, development and innovation projects.

He holds an MSc degree in Industrial Engineering specialized in automation and robotics and a BSc in Industrial Electronics. He has worked for more than 10 years in research, development, and innovation projects.
From 2008 to 2012 he worked as a researcher and project engineer in the field of ICT and data analysis for two Technology Centres, the Institute of Biomechanics and AINIA (food industry), where he participated in national and European R&D projects.
From 2012 to 2016 he was Programme Manager at Abengoa, participating and leading several FP7 projects related to smart integration of renewable energy sources.
From 2016 to 2018 he was R&D Manager at Ingeteam Power Technology, participating in onshore and offshore wind as well as solar innovation initiatives. Before working as new-technologies consultant, he was Director of R&D at Elecgy Solutions, an innovative SME in the field of power electronics, beneficiary of the SME Instrument grant.
